Four Unique Blended Cocktails To Add To Your Beach Bar Menu

Posted on: 4 December 2015

When visiting a beach bar, many customers want to enjoy a light, fruity, blended cocktail. Periodically adding a few new ones to your menu will keep them coming back for more. Here are four delicious, easy-to-make blended cocktails to add to your menu today.

Banana Breeze

A play on the classic Bay Breeze cocktail, this vodka and cranberry drink has a secret ingredient -- banana liqueur. To make one serving, combine the following ingredients in a blender:

  • 2 ounces good quality vodka
  • 4 ounces cranberry juice
  • 4 ounces pineapple juice
  • 1 ounce banana liqueur
  • 1 cup ice

Blend until the ice is fully crushed and incorporated. Serve the cocktail in a hurricane glass or highball, garnished with a slice of banana and pineapple.

Orange Slider

This cocktail tastes like the creamy orange beverages often sold in mall kiosks -- but with the delicious addition of orange rum. Combine these ingredients in your blender:

  • 1 1/2 ounces orange rum
  • 1 ounce cream of coconut
  • 1 ounce heavy cream
  • 4 ounces orange juice
  • 1 cup ice

Blend until smooth. You may have to pulse the blender a few times, as this drink is on the thicker side. Serve it in a Collins glass for a classy presentation, and don't forget to add an orange wedge as garnish.

Pomegranate and Pineapple Surprise

This drink is called the "surprise" because it contains a surprising amount of alcohol, considering its sweet, fruity taste. Customers who are really in the mood to party will enjoy this strong, pink-colored beverage. You will need:

  • 1 ounce citrus vodka
  • 1 ounce plain vodka
  • 2 ounces coconut rum
  • 1 ounce silver tequila
  • 1 ounce pomegranate liqueur
  • 6 ounces pineapple juice
  • 1 ounce simple syrup
  • 1 cup ice
  • 1 ounce grenadine syrup

Combine all of the ingredients, except for the grenadine, in a blender. Blend until smooth. Pour the mixture into a hurricane glass, and then pour the grenadine down the side of the glass so that it pools in the bottom. Add a mini umbrella, and serve.

Blue Sky Smoothie

Made with real fruit, this alcoholic smoothie is a real treat -- and its blue color is sure to make customers smile. Combine these ingredients in your blender:

  • 2 ounces cherry rum
  • 2 ounces blue curacao
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 a banana
  • 1/2 cup frozen blueberries
  • 1/2 cup ice

Blend until smooth, and serve in a pint glass with some skewered banana slices and blueberries as a garnish.
